I really liked the pub, and the rooms worked in the grounds of the pub. Everything is there - picturesque village, proper pub with excellent beer, and very good food. And the staff were lovely.

Warm and cosy on a cold night. Menu looked good though we were out in the evening so couldn't try it out.
Dislikes:
Soundproofing from the next room isn't good & we were awoken by another guest having a bath at 7am

"When is a pub not a pub?"
When it is a very pleasant and welcoming experience. Booked on-line and did not know what to expect. Very friendly welcome and made to feel at home. Had dinner at the Harrow and menu was excellent. Had the fish and chips but not ordinary F&C but a good piece of fresh cod in a light batter was delightful. Stayed in one of the converted stables and a very comfortable night, slept well. Read less

Breakfast menu was an eye-opener, not only the usual full english but eggs benedict and other delights. The food, and the chef, were excellent and all items locally sourced.

The Harrow Inn is by far the oldest in Wanborough, with parts dating back to 1747 when it was known as the "Harrow and Kings Head". Originally all ales would have been brewed on site, but this activity ceased in 1863 when the then owner leased the Harrow Inn to Arkells Brewery for 10 years, which prompted the sale of the brewing equipment.

The thatched stone building retains much of its original charm, with its thatched roof, exposed beams and inglenook fires that are all still in use today.

The Harrow Inn offers a great dining experience. We source premium quality produce from as many local producers and suppliers as possible, prepared and cooked by a small but dedicated team led by our chef Ian. Our aim is to provide great food, that is prepared and cooked in the premises including the desserts.
