"Lovely stay in Arkle House"
We stayed in Arkle House for 3 nights. My husband, me & our 8 year old son received a warm welcome from Terry, who made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely - warm & clean as well as spacious. Plenty of hangers & space for clothes. Our toilet had plenty of toilet roll (something that's important to us!), shower gel, soap & hand cream. We had access to our own little kitchen with a stove, microwave, fridge, table & a computer. Breakfast was gorgeous. We loved it. Read less

The location was perfect for town & for our friends. There was a restaurant/bar right next door. We felt so at ease. Everyone was really nice to us. Beds were very comfortable & remade every day.

Yes... Leaving!! We'll be back one day though.

All rooms have ensuite facilities and tv. There is a guest kitchen where snacks or even full meals can be prepared. Guests have use of the garden, patio and barbecue facilities. A separate tv lounge is also available. Many of our guests refer to Arkle House as a home from home, and that's the feeling you get as you drive in, even before you get inside. The house is absolutely bursting with character and charm. The dining room and tv lounge have original fire places dating back to circa 1890. The old bathroom has a Victorian roll top bath dated 1903, and there are many more charming features.

We are ideally located about 5 minutes drive from Derry city centre 25 to 30 minutes from City of Derry airport, close to the university and Templemore sports complex .Donegal, the Inishowen peninsula and the Giant's Causeway are easy driving distances. Foyle International and Derry City golf courses are only 10 to 15 minutes drive. The two fantastic links courses at Bayliffin Golf club are only 35 to 40 minutes.
