"Hotel was nice but no customer service or help at all"
Hotel was difficult to locate and the directions given on the website out of date. When phoned for directions, person was blunt and unhelpful. No staff were available on arrival and access to hotel via locked gate was difficult - there was no mention at booking of a check in time of 4pm. Room was nice, clean and facilities good. Breakfast was ok considering one person cooked, served and cleaned up! There was no welcome or staff service at all during our stay, except by the man serving breakfast. Read less
Likes:
It was close to the city centre but relatively quiet at night. The room was warm and clean and the facilities good.
Dislikes:
Access was difficult. No staff were on-hand for help or advice.
Response from Alabare House:
I am sorry we fell short on our customer service. I have tracked down your booking confirmation which does confirm a check in time of 4.00pm. and an e mail sent on 7th June also confimed this along with the gate code to gain entry. Our staff therefore come on duty at 4.00 and the young man who cooked your breakfast also covers our administration. We are a guest house and not a hotel so it is not practical to provide staff in attendance 24/7.
