This is a great spot to base yourself while in Bournemouth. While the neighbourhood has a reputation, I didn't experience any problems and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

"A great stay in a nice and spacious room in a nicely located small hotel!"
We had a 2 nights stay for my Graduation ball. We had a great time and it was excellent - the hotel itself and its location. In the rush at the night of the ball we forgot the key for the room inside and locked ourselves out. We had to ring the hotel early in the morning to open the door for us. We thought that the hosts wouldn't bother or if we did woke them up would be very angry however, they picked the phone and opened straight away. We were so relieved that it was all good at the end. The room was nice and spacious, nicely decorated with lovely mirrors on the wardrobe doors. We were on the ground floor and the room had a great view towards the back yard.Very spacious and comfy bed.
Dislikes:
There's nowhere to put your toiletries in the shower.Slight staining on the sheets, but nothing too worrying.Overall it was a nice place.
Response from Ashleigh Hotel:
Well I must be honest I could have done without the early call!. Still glad you enjoyed your weekend.
Sheets do sometimes have scorch marks when they come back from the laundry, clean of course but just overheated when pressed.
Shower I used to have shelfs in the showers but found when I bult the larger showers and before I fitted the shelfs we had hardly no items left behind, before we always had guests leave shower stuff etc and we was posting it back, so now no shelfs and no belongings left

The Ashleigh Hotel is conveniently located for the sea, shops and shows; with a good location for travel links, being close to Bournemouth International Airport, Poole Ferry Port, and the train & coach connections. We offer a high standard of accommodation and cleanliness.

We invite you to holiday in relaxed and informal surroundings in order to enjoy this ideal base for short trips to see attractions such as Poole Quay and historic Christchurch, with its castle ruins and Norman Priory; Corfe Castle and Swanage (linked by restored steam railway) in the Purbecks; the ancient New Forest, now a National Park, and Beaulieu where the National Motor Museum is located. And of course we're close to Weymouth & Portland for the Olympic Sailing Events. Local coach companies offer a wide itinerary and much of the locality can be enjoyed from open-top buses. The OLYMPIC TORCH is overnighting in Bournemouth on 13th July, on its way to Southampton. Come an enjoy an Evening Celebration!!

Following our appearance on ‘Three In A Bed’, we have been offered a discounted rate for surfing of £27.50pp for a 2 hour Surf Lesson. All equipment supplied, you would just need to bring a costume and towel etc. You can book this online when booking your room or direct. ITS GREAT FUN!

We have a variety of rooms available, all uniquely decorated in a modern, contemporary style. All bedrooms are ensuite, complete with hairdryer and Flat screen TV with Freeview channels, and enjoy the benefit of tea and coffee making facilities.

Please note that whilst the proprietors and staff of the Ashleigh Hotel are gay friendly, we do not accept single sex group party bookings such as stag or hen parties. Any booking found to be such on arrival, will not be admitted and will be expected to settle any outstanding amount.
