My wife and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Ashleigh guest house and would highly recommend it. The welcome from the hosts Hazel and Mick was excellent the guest house itself is spotless and you also get a really good breakfast, they also make sure you have enough to eat. We will definately go there again when in that area. Read less

Mick & Hazel are excellent hosts, right from the moment you arrive, with a cup of tea & a chat, to personally seeing you off when you leave. The room is clean & well furnished for it's size (single en-suite, the facilities are very good, and the breakfast was excellent! I loved their attention to you as a guest, making sure you had everything you wanted and that you were comfortable during your stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone, and would definitely stay there again. Read less

The Ashleigh is a family run Guesthouse and offers comfortable accommodation in a central location within Paignton, Devon. Situated two minutes walk through Torbay Park is the Esplanade, beach, pier, cinema and harbour. Preston sands, Goodrington Bay, Victoria Park with gardens and Roundham Gardens are all within an easy stroll. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs and theatre, the cinema is within 200 yards level walk of the Guest House, The railway station, also used by The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, and bus/coach station are within easy level walking distance.
All rooms have colour flatscreen TV with freeview, a radio/clock alarm, hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities with complimentary biscuits and hot chocolate, there is also a mini fridge in each bedroom with fresh milk for your tea or coffee in the mornings, towels and full range of toiletries are supplied with a choice of shower or bath ensuite. there is also an iron with ironing board on request.
There are excellent public transport connections throughout Paignton, Torquay and Brixham, as well as South Devon. The guest house has a guests lounge and guests can enjoy the sun room and decked terrace which overlooks Queens Park from where you can watch cricket or rugby (season dependant) also the steam train.
If you are interested in bird watching, There are a number of places of interest local to Torbay, Goodrington & Clennon Valley, BerryHead, Broadsands, Exe Reserves, Slapton Ley and Beesands.
Ramblers there are some lovely coastal walks, and we are close to Dartmoor for the more adventurous.
