I have read several negative complaints about this hotel, which frankly are unfair. This is a 3 start country house hotel, it does not claim to be a 5 star luxurious city centre resort bursting with amenities. If that is wat you expect pay more an go to aa 5 star. this is a fab little country house hotel with 9 bedrooms we stayed in the suite at an excellent rate and the room was fab. We stayed for New Year for 2 nights - great night brill music. Read less

The staff!The se guys couldn't do enough for us, they were brill. There is not a lot of staff but one ring of the bell at the bar and we waited no more than 10 seconds for someone to appear smiling.
Dislikes:
Cooked breakfast on second day was not great, but there was plenty of cereal and toast availible.

The approach aspect is lovely, the staff excellent, food good and well presented.
Dislikes:
Our room was awful, the shower room smelt of urine and there was a nasty stain on the divan, telephone socket broken, boiler chimney next to room, we have to say that the room was cleaned immediately
