Churches Hotel

Centrally located in the Scottish coastal town of Eyemouth, Churches is a modern hotel with traditional values in elegant surroundings. The original building on the corner of 'Albert and Victoria', was built in 1790 for use as a church manse, and then later converted into a hotel. It was extensively renovated and refurbished in 2000.

The four guest rooms, each with private facilities, are individually designed and furnished to the highest standards. The landscaped garden contains a paved pergola and sun terrace for outside dining on warmer days. At Churches, great emphasis is placed on quality dining. The regularly changing menu, entirely dependent on what fresh catch is landed daily in Eyemouth Harbour uses only the finest produce and offers a selection of inspiring seafood. Meat dishes must be ordered in advance when booking tables in the restaurant. The relaxed dining atmosphere in the conservatory, which has views over the harbour is perfect to enjoy the local fresh fish and shellfish.

The residents' lounge is the perfect place to unwind in luxurious surroundings and enjoy tea, coffee or drinks before and after dinner. Eyemouth harbour is a busy port and is one of the largest exporters of Langoustine; Crab & Lobster (A speciality of the restaurant).

Edinburgh is within easy reach of Eyemouth. It is ideal for experiencing the magnificent unspoilt Berwickshire and Northumberland coastlines with their beautiful beaches and historic castles. Horse riding, an abundance of golf courses and excellent trout and salmon fishing are available locally.

The nearest railway station is 8 miles away at Berwick upon Tweed. A bus is able to bring you almost directly to our door, or take your pick with any of tehg loacl taxis which meet every train. Our small Hotel car park is able to accommodate three cars, although most guests use the on-street free parking or the large car park opposite the hotel at the end of Eyemouth Harbour which is also free.
