Formerly a coaching inn and farm complex once serving the ford to the village of Hilgay, renovations have retained the original character of the diminishing Olde England. The non smoking dining room has impressive oak beams and an inglenook fireplace. Spacious bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, have colour television, coffee and tea making facilities, and two have four poster beds.

The family who run the Crosskeys are very friendly and eager to please. Nothing is too much trouble it seems and they add some weextras like a selection of DVDs for guests, and a proper shoe shine kit

The dolls and the clutter. The décor and the bathroom suite.

Spacious bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms, have colour television, coffee and tea making facilities, and two have four poster beds. Two are on the ground floor. All have river views.
The large riverside garden offers a location to simply relax or, for the more energetic, row boating or fishing. Two rods and a row boat are available free of charge by prior arrangement. A large river frontage is ideal for the course fishing enthusiast or even for mooring whilst you sample the hospitality of the house.
An abundance of bird watching locations, country walks and equestrian routes are available in the surrounding countryside. The Welney Wildlife Trust is only about five miles away. A little further is the Thetford Forest Park, which provides a fantastic place in which to ramble! Cycling, walking and fishing are all activities that the family can enjoy, or it can simply be an open space for relaxing.
