I'm on a gluten-free diet, and disappointed the staff had no awareness of how to provide for this. I was offered cereal and toast, which are 2 of the main things coeliac disease sufferers can't eat!
However, the breakfast that I was provided with, after careful discussion, was actually very good and well-cooked.
The room was cold when we arrived, and we had to hunt about for electric sockets, light switches, etc, but overall not too bad. Read less

The two members of staff we met were friendly.
The Inn is very handy for Ilfracombe.
Dislikes:
There were no other customers in the bar, either when we arrived, or later on that evening. Therefore, sadly no atmosphere...
Parking, although free, is across a busy road in front of the Inn.

Welcome to the Foxhunters Inn, a 300 year old Coaching Inn that has been carefully restored to provide a watering hole of exceptional charm and character. Cosy Inglenooks, roaring log fires, original stonework and softly lit bars all combine to provide an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality sought by traveller and holiday maker alike. The Foxhunters Inn is located between the village of Braunton and the popular Victorian harbour town of Ilfracombe. Our location is perfect to access a number of areas of interest and natural beauty as well as a choice of themed attractions aimed at a family audience. There is a large car park opposite and a terrace at the front of the property. Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Small dogs allowed. Children welcome. Check-In time: 14:00 and Check-Out time: 10:00.
