The eight en suite rooms, combining period charm with modern facilities, include a family room, singles, twins and doubles. Two rooms on the ground floor are suitable for less mobile guests.
There are also four 2-bedroomed and one 1-bedroomed (king size) self-contained apartments, which provide an ideal base to visit this wonderful area.
We have all the charm of a traditional English pub, with exposed beams, white washed walls and, of course, a well stocked bar of real ales, lagers and much more.
The menu includes good home cooked dishes with the majority of our food being sourced locally and every Sunday we offer a very popular carvery.
The Swan Inn is a wonderful place in which to celebrate a variety of special occasions, including large birthday parties, family get-togethers or corporate occasions.
Acerlodge is situated just five miles from The Swan Inn. We are a family run bed and breakfast set in a quiet location providing well equipped, comfortable ensuite accommodation and large gardens ideal for alfresco dinning. We also a TV and Sun room available for our guests use. Wifi is available free of charge.
Both The Swan Inn and Acerlodge are ideal bases for exploring the treasures of Norfolk. Local attractions include Thetford Forest where you will find the High Lodge Centre offering bike hire, GoApe (high-ropes course) and marked trails ideal for cyclists and walkers. The national trail, Peddars Way can also be joined nearby. Explore traditional market towns, picturesque villages and the many nature reserves. Golf, fishing and horse riding facilities available locally. Other local attractions include Oxburugh Hall (National Trust), Iceni Village, Castle Acre (English Heritage), Gooderstone Water Gardens.
