We stayed overnight as we were attending a friends funeral. The staff were helpful and friendly withour being too fussy. The rooms were tastefully decorated but I have not given excellent because they didn't seem quite finished - eg the blind had not been put up at the ensuite window. However, they were all very clean and the food was excellent. Read less

The restaurant was closed so there was nowhere to eat in the evening other than go out (but we didn't have a car and it was very cold and wet). In the end the owner offered to drive us to a local pub.
