Likes:
Good brekkie, clean room, decent shower, lovely friendly reception and waiting staff - especially as we were in Somerset, we thought we might get eyebrows raised at two men sharing a double room.
Dislikes:
Bed was a bit small - just a standard double, not a queen or a king. We're not big built, but the bed was a bit cosy...

Large family room for 3 children, very rare to find this. The restaurant offered to cook the children "Whatever they liked". The adult food was outstanding.

Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay a happy one. Restaurant was excellent with lovely locally-sourced food and nightly 'specials' and changes to the menu which were lovely.

Welcome to The Lordleaze Hotel! Once an 18th century farmhouse, this is a comfortable country hotel offering the finest standards with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Ideal for those seeking peace and tranquillity, we are surrounded by natural pasture land yet only three minutes away from Chard town centre.
Set in a secluded area on the Somerset, Dorset and Devon borders, we are perfectly situated for either a stop-over break on the journey to Devon and Cornwall or as a base for your holiday in the heart of the West Country. Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth are all within about 30 minutes drive.
Chard town prides itself on its ancient history, many beautiful buildings and its two famous rivers. Our Olde Worlde lounge bar, with its comfortable seating and real log fire, has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Good quality local produce cooked well is the essence of our kitchen. Restaurant menu and bar meals are available 7 evenings a week with a very popular Sunday lunch. The breakfast is really good too! We are a home from home and have plenty of free parking for guests.
