We chose to stay here as we were meeting up with family in the Hope Valley.
The Millstone exceeded our expectations in many ways. There were 5 very well kept real ales, with 3 local brews. The wine list was also more interesting than your usual chain pub.
We eat here with our extended family, and all had plenty to eat. with the emphasis on simple home cooking - the Pick N Mix Sausage menu was a hit with the kids.
Breakfast was again well cooked, and featured local produce.

The Inn is located on the edge of the village of Hathersage looking down the Hope Valley, the gateway to the beautiful Peak Park. This old coaching inn has been welcoming visitors for centuries, and makes an ideal base for exploring the many different attractions the Peak District has to offer.
With Chatsworth House, Ladybower Dam (of Dambusters fame) and the Blue John caves only a few minutes away, Its hard to believe a 15 minute drive over the moor and you are in the centre of Sheffield.
We have eight rooms available - from double rooms, twin rooms, single-bedded rooms and family rooms. For the standard of comfort and service, the Millstone Inn accommodation has been graded a 4-star Inn by the AA.
Our bar has SIX hand-pulled real ales, and a great menu of bar meals is available every day. We are Cask Marque accredited for the quality of our real ale.
