We were greeted, after our long drive, by our hostess who served us refreshments, in the beautiful guest lounge overlooking the garden and the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was sumptous.

"Easily the best B&B we have ever stayed in"
From the first warm welcome, Claire made our short stay an absolute pleasure. On arrival we had muffins with home-made lemon curd and jam in the luxurious drawing room. Our large bedroom with first class facilities had stunning views over the beautiful countryside. The best breakfast we have ever eaten in a B&B, was in the lovely dining room, again overlooking wonderful views. We enjoyed the stay so much that we would like to explore Kent more and would definitely stay here again. Read less

The Old Vicarage in Doddington is a 5 star, Grade II listed property that has been recently renovated to a high modern standard, while retaining core period features which date back to 1656. We are set on the edge of the village and have commanding views across the valley. The immediate surrounding area is of cherry orchards, mixed woodlands and arable fields. The countryside is criss crossed with public footpaths and there are a number of golf courses close by . The wonderful North Kent coastal town of Whitstableis not far away, as is the Cathedral city of Canterbury. There is a wealth of National Trust and English Heritage properties to visit eg Sissinghurst Castle and other privately owned ones, such as the spectacular Leeds Castle.
There are 2 suites and a double - all en suite.
The Church Room overlooks the Church and has a shower ensuite.
The Garden Suite on the first floor has commanding Southerly views over the garden and valley beyond. The suite comprises of 2 large double rooms[1 can be a twin] and have a bathroom and shower.
The Valley Room on the second floor comprises of a large double room and a smaller twin room and has a bathroom ensuite.
On the ground floor guests are welcome to use the Drawing Room for relaxation and breakfast is served in the Dining Room - again overlooking the garden. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, hot water bottles and bottled water. Wi fi is accessible also in the rooms. Flat screen TVs are also supplied as are Bose radio alarms. Each room is individually styled and crisp cotton sheets are used for the bedding.
Locally sourced produce is used for our full English breakfast whenever available. Other dietary options can be catered for on request.
We are within easy distance of both Sittingbourne and Faversham - both only 10 minutes away and the M2 and M20 are also within a short distance.
Our two golden retrievers may be on hand to welcome you! Ample off road parking for all our guests.
