Having grown up in the area i've been to Slaters many times over the years for food and a quiet pint and as we were attending a wedding in the area it seemed like a good place to stay the night en route to the wedding. As usual the food and staff were great but the room was not. The walls of the rooms were so cheaply made that we were unfortunately subject to our neighbours room parties when their wedding finished. We told reception who did ask them to shut up but they just carried on. Read less

Food and staff are lovely. To be fair the rooms was clean and tidy, it's just the walls were so thin sound from the rest of the bedrooms travelled.
Dislikes:
As written above, the accommodation is set up for wedding parties. If you are not a member of the wedding you are in for a noisy night which is not ideal.

The ever popular Steak and Kidney pie is always on the menu although Chef Mike Spink does change the menu to reflect the season and the produce that is available locally.
The coffee shop situated within the Craft Villages is open Tues to Sun and Bank Holidays, offering hot and cold beverages, cakes, pastries, paninis and sandwiches and a home-cooked carvery on Sundays.
