We were visiting relatives in nearby Sandown. I found The St Leonards on the internet and booked it because it had a 4.8 rating, we wern't dissapointed. I have stayed in plenty of guest houses in the IOW over the years, I just wished i had found this one years ago. Read less

"Fantastic service and lovely B&B"
Weekend break on IOW. My sister has been given a 50% discount for single occupancy, and her double room is spacious, with a large and comfortable queen size bed. Our family room is spacious too. Both rooms are modern and decorated in a high standard. The ensuite bathroom was newly refurbished. The accommodation is in a excellent location in Eastbourne, less than 10 minutes walk to railway station, as well as the beach and the town centre. Read less
Likes:
Bright, modern, The friendly and polite owners. Great breakfast.
Dislikes:
the electrical shower is not as powerful as common power shower. The double bed in the family room is relevant small.
Response from St Leonards:
Thank you for this review, we are pleased that you found, generally, everything to your liking. First and most important, we are not in Eastbourne, we are in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. The electric shower in the family room is only a few months old. Standard electric showers will not be as powerful as a power shower. We do not understand the comment about the bed as it is a standard 4' 6" double.
