We needed to leave early in the morning and the hotel owner got up especially early for us and prepared us breakfast so we would not go without!
Dislikes:
The hotel had wifi but this was not available in my room when I tried to pick it up. I was not sure if this was because my room was at the back of the hotel or if it was only available in the lobby.

I have taken on board your comments about the wi-fi, and have noted that I need to make customers aware that we have different routers for different areas of the hotel, to enable a good signal, also that a code is required from reception - free of charge.
I will endeavour to update the information sheets on the doors with this wi-fi information. Thank you for making The Sunnyside aware of this.

We are also only 200 yards from Eaglescliffe train station, a mile outside of Yarm and 5 miles from Durham & Tees airport. For golf enthusiasts we are only 30 seconds walk from Eaglescliffe Golf Club, or you could relax with a walk in Preston Park with its museum focusing on domestic life of the past, followed by a drink in our bar.

Yarm is 1 mile from the hotel, and is popular for shoppers or an evening out, where they are many excellant restaurants.
