"Beautiful Location but stuck in the 70's"
Reception very disorganised , booked an en suite but was advised that our bathroom was down the corridor ! We requested that have an en suite and was given another room however we had to wait to have it made up , which was done by the receptionist . Bedroom was freezing and only a caravan style shower in the ensuite with no heating . Food however was EXCELLENT , fabulous breakfast and a really friendly chef and asset to the establishment .
Waiting staff also very helpful Read less

The Spittal of Glenshee Hotel is situated close to Royal Deeside amidst the spectacular scenery of the Scottish Highlands. This is the perfect place to base yourself for touring Northern and Eastern Scotland. Although first chronicled in 961 AD, it is thought that The Spittal has been in existence on the same site in Glenshee for centuries prior to this date so is certainly steeped in history. We are the closest hotel to Glenshee ski slopes and only a short journey from numerous places of interest. With a roaring open log fire, guests are given a warm welcome by the new management team and their friendly staff.

The hotel offers a wide range of accommodation to cater for groups of all sizes. There are a total of 56 bedrooms in the main hotel. This includes 6 singles, 32 twins or doubles, 9 triple rooms and 6 family rooms which can accomodate up to 6 people. The vast majority of rooms have en-suite facilities with a small amount having a private bathroom. All rooms are equipped with colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and a telephone. We also have a bunkhouse adjacent to the main hotel which caters for budgets travellers. This is dormitory style accommodation with four separate rooms which house 4-6 bunks. There are male and female shower facilities exclusively for bunkhouse guests. In addition to this we also have shaded tent sites available with power if required.

The main bar area serves wholesome hearty food from 8am right through until 9pm daily. A hot and cold buffet breakfast is included in all the room rates and is also open to non residents. There is a separate restaurant where guests can enjoy a sumptuous three course carvery dinner. Please note, this is subject to availablity. We can also cater for private functions ranging from informal barbeques to black tie gala dinners.

The hotel grounds have 3 separate carparks with a total capacity for approximately 60 cars and 5 coaches. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
