Unfortunately 3 out of four mornings our bathroom wasn't freshened up. The tea/coffee biscuits weren't replenished. On our first morning the window and door was left unlocked after cleaning,we had a groundfloor room. After getting breakfast on 4 out of 5 there was an abscence of staff. Read less

Very central location, homely feel. friendly staff. Great food
Dislikes:
Our room was under the restaurant. Chairs would be dragged across the floor very early in the morning. Breakfast was only till 9 even at the weekends. Would like a lay-in on hols!

We really appreciate all comments made either positive or negative as this way we can make improvements to ensure we do our best for all our customers and i will discuss these comments further with our staff.I would like to state that at our hotel no rooms are below the restaurant only the bar area and only other bedrooms are above. Also as it states in the welcome pack in the rooms breakfast at the weekends is always served from 8am till 10am.

Dislikes:
would rather have the choice to sit where we wanted for breakfast and not be sat on top of other guests (a bit of privacy would have been nice)

The Batemans MIll Hotel has now been reopened on the 23rd October 2010 by the new owners Jade Hendon & Mark Hanley, they would like to welcome guests both old and new. Close to many Peak Park attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon & Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, Bakewell and Matlock, the Hotel has won numerous awards and accolades including ‘Outstanding Quality Award’.
An ideal base for visiting this beautiful part of the country, with a range of cycling, golf, shopping, walking and water sports facilities nearby. The Hotel is a conversion of a 18th century Mill House with 8 lovely en suite bedrooms, ample parking, ground floor bar and restaurant, first floor restaurant, conference and meeting facilities and private dining room. Ample parking and wireless internet access.
