From beginning to end we we're made very welcome, the room was lovely and clean and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and we left full. If you are looking for a quite place to rest your head at the end of the day that has everything you need then this is the only place to stay, it's location is just at the top of town and far enough to be peaceful at night yet just a 10 to 15 minute walk towards all the shops,beach and harbour. Burleigh House in Torquay was built around 1927 as a gentleman’s residence and first became a guest house in 1958.
Today, we have eight guest rooms (one en-suite twin, five en-suite doubles and two singles). The two singles share a bathroom and separate toilet on the same floor.
Car parking is provided, off-street, at the rear of the house.
All our rooms have a digital, widescreen Freeview television, radio/alarm, tea/coffee-making facilities and hairdryer.
Wireless broadband internet is available through-out the building and there’s an internet-connected PC for guest use in our reception area.
Burleigh House is just a short walk to the town centre, beaches and Conference Centre. We’re also on the route for local buses to Paignton, Brixham, Newton Abbot and Exeter. Torre railway station is close-by with local trains to Paignton, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, Dawlish and beyond.
