Its neat and clean and very comfortable as well as being well situated. It was amazing to have a bath and a shower, I enjoyed that more than anything.
Dislikes:
I felt the mattress was not as good as it should be, though I did not suffer any backache or have any problems.

Alternatively, if our Receptionists are informed, they will ensure that our housekeepers know that you wish to sleep in. The Camelia Hotel is situated in a superb position on the seafront at Thorpe Bay, just outside Southend with commanding unrivaled views of the Thames Estuary. This luxurious family run 120 year old hotel is fully refurbished and reputation as the finest hotel in Southend.
Our fully air-conditioned restaurant, which is open daily offers an excellent variety of fine cuisine, from Table d'hote and extensive a la Carte menus to the specials of the day, prepared under the guidance of our Head Chef Gary Howelly, our expertise in catering for a variety of private functions is renowned, wedding receptions being our speciality.
The quiet surroundings of our summer patio over looking the sea enhance the enjoyment of a drink from our well stocked bar, which boasts an impressive wine list. At the Camelia, we aim to make life for the business person on the move, as easy as possible. For that rereason we have installed free wi-fi internet throughout hotel.
