A warm welcome awaits you at Gables Farm. Situated 100 miles North of London, Wingfield is a quiet village, there is a privately owned castle, a traditional pub, The De La Pole Arms and the newly reopened Wingfield Barns as well as charming cottages and houses. Within 10 miles there are the market towns of Harleston, Diss, Bungay and Framlingham (another Castle here - this one you can visit). Within an hours drive you can visit Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Woodbridge - or you can choose to visit the Norfolk Broads or Southwold - home of Adnams Ales and the also Minsmere Bird Sanctuary. There are planty of choices and you choose - we can provide you with maps and guide books.
About Gables Farm - well our three en suite bedrooms are beautifully decorated and furnished to the highest standards, each room has a Colour TV , radio alarm, hairdryer and the hospitality tray is laden with a variety of hot drinks, fresh milk and special biscuits. We also provide you with fresh flowers, a fruit bowl and bottled water. The shower rooms have soft fluffy towels and top quality accessories.
Breakfast is served in the timbered dining room - choose from the buffet table - ceareal, fruit, yoghurts and juice, and then enjoy a breakfast of your choice, be it traditional, kippers or continental, all freshly cooked just for you! Homemade bread and preserves complete the meal and all 'washed down' with tea or coffee.
The guests sitting room has comfy sofas and chairs - after a long journey where better to relax with afternoon tea - a treat for our guests on their arrival - or perhaps you would prefer to have your refreshment in the garden - a haven of tranquility.
Our garden has been designed for all year round colour - there are places to sit for reading or relaxing - again the choice is yours!
