The Gaskell Arms Hotel is a 17th Century family run,coaching Inn with a wealth of character set in the medieval "Black & White" town of Much Wenlock. It has a 3 star AA & VB hotel rating. The hotel is a family owned and managed free house, offering warm, traditional hospitality throughout the year. We provide excellent en-suite accommodation and Self Catering Cottages.

The beautiful "Black & White" town of Much Wenlock is located in the heart of Shropshire and an ideal base to tour both the historic town and the surrounding countryside. Much Wenlock is steeped in history with many buildings dating back to the 1500's. On the outskirts, within easy walking distance from the Gaskell Arms, lies the dramatic 12th century ruins of Wenlock Priory. Much Wenlock has recently been featured on Central News with regard to its Olympic Connection. The hotel is within easy reach of a huge selection of Visitor Attractions, including the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Centre with its numerous museums. The county town of Shrewsbury is only 12 miles away, whilst the medieval country town of Ludlow is just a short drive through the Corvedale Valley.
