It's an old house refurbished to modern standards. The lounge and breakfast room is great for giving the kids some space. We watched a movie and played monopoly - all provided by the guesthouse.

Glenan Lodge is a traditional Scottish Country Guest House ideally situated on the edge of the village of Tomatin 16 miles from the city of Inverness. The area is ideal for golf, shooting, fishing, bird-watching, hill walking, cycling, skiing or just relaxing, whether passing through or using Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation as your base.
Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation is situated just 1/2 mile off cycle route 7 which runs from Inverness to Perth. For the fly-fishing enthusiast we have a 2 mile beat on the river Findhorn available to our guests for some of the finest salmon and wild brown trout fishing in the area. Scotland's 2nd largest malt whisky distillery is within walking distance of the Lodge and the village shop, post office and pub are only a short drive away. Many places of historical interest are also close by including Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle and, of course, Loch Ness, Skye and John O' Groats can also make a great day out as can Balmoral, the Queen's Summer residence.
Tomatin is midway between the skiing centre of Aviemore and the City of Inverness, capital of Highlands. An ideal base for exploring this most beautiful part of the UK. There is also our guesthouse residents lounge - the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the local area of Tomatin and Inverness. The guesthouse dining room is where you will be treated to a traditional breakfast and also an evening meal if you wish. There is also storage available for cycles.
