The Halfway House Inn is a 16th Century Inn situated in beautiful Shropshire countryside just over a mile from Bridgnorth Town Centre.
It is a 16th Century Inn, of some notoriety, mainly in relation to after hours drinking offenses & the present proprietor is proud to be continuing the tradition, well into the early hours although restricted to residents & their bonafide guests.
The Halfway House Inn is situated just over a mile from Bridgnorth town centre, on the B4363 to Cleobury Mortimer, which was the old main road between Worcester & Shrewsbury. Centrally situated in the West Midlands, just over a mile from ancient Bridgnorth and the banks of the River Severn, The Halfway House is less than 10 miles from the Ironbridge Gorge Museums, West Midlands Safari Park, Wenlock Edge and the Cosford Aerospace Museum.
The 16th Century Coaching Inn is around a 30 minute drive from the historic towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow, the Black Country Museum, the Long Mynd National Park whilst Birmingham City Centre, Worcester and a host of National Trust Properties and Castles can be reached within 45 minutes.
The pub itself remains largely unspoilt and unchanged with low ceilings, exposed beams and a great atmosphere. There is an open fire to warm yourself by on cold evenings and a character, compact but very well-stocked bar featuring a large selection of special single malt whiskys. We serve locally-made real ales as well as stout, draught cider and some lagers.
We pride ourselves on serving excellent home-made food which is locally sourced wherever possible and great value for money. Although breakfast is not included in our quoted prices, we recommend you purchase our "Full Monty" which comprises cereal, toast, fruit juice, your choice of tea or coffee, and then a large hearty cooked meal to finish.
