The room was furnished in quality traditional fittings and soft furnishings. Everything we needed was supplied. The breakfast was substantial with an excellant pot of real tea! Winsford a wonderful part of Exmoor that is central to explore all of what the National Pk has to offer. A local pub is situated a stones throw away where you can dine in the evenings.

Come and stay at Karslake Country Guest House in Winsford, reputed to be the prettiest village on Exmoor. Originally built in 1450 as a malt house, it now offers modern day comforts whilst retaining many of its original charm and features.
Enjoy a pampering stay in large comfortable beds within attractively decorated rooms. The Karslake has been awarded AA 4 diamonds for accommodation, plus rated in the top guest houses in the UK. The village of Winsford (as mentioned in the Doomsday book) has a pub and a local shop for necessities. Further afield there are the coastal towns of Minehead (30 mins drive) and Taunton (40 minutes drive) with its shops and bars. In the other direction is the market town of Tiverton (40 minutes drive).
