Wow! I booked a weekend stay at the Millers Guest House and boy am I pleased I did. It was a surprise weekend away for my girlfriends 30th birthday present. We arrived in the evening and were warmly welcomed by Jim and Michael as well as a friendly sniff from Reuben, their beautiful, gentle giant dog. We were showed around and asked what time we would like breakfast and what we would like to eat. I also had champagne and chocs arranged which were waiting for us. Read less

It was a home more than a hotel and we were welcomed in such a friendly way by the owners and then left to get (extremely) comfortable. The suite was amazing and the carpets so soft and immaculate!
Dislikes:
Nothing whatsoever. I would highly recommend this place to anybody and will be raving about it for a long time to come. I hope to be able to visit and stay again at some point, such was the welcome!

The house is set in the most beautiful surroundings, and is full of an eclectic mix of antiquties and art. We stayed for 2 nights in the Lorimer suite, which is beautifully furnished, with a large comfortable sleigh bed, and a private sitting room with large flat screen TV. The bathroom was clean, with a large powerful shower and heated towel rail. At breakfast we were greeted by a beautifully laid table, fresh berries and yoghut, fresh orange juice, followed by scrambled eggs, toast,and tea. Read less

The Millers House is a listed building with stone monkeys on the roof ridge and an interesting history. Situated 10 minutes from the Clyde coast and 12 miles from Loch Lomond. It also enjoys good access to the rest of the West Coast and all it has to offer. The nearby train station provide easy transport to Edinburgh & Glasgow, including Glasgow airport. Transfers can be arranged to Glasgow airport. Evening meals are also available by request.
