Easy going hosts, very welcoming. Food excellent, would recommend the liver. A well stocked honesty bar at reasonable prices.
Dislikes:
Room was a bit cold during the night.. could have done with a feather duvet and an electric blanket.
Some problems with a smokey fire in the lounge, we felt kippered.

We used the Parva as a base for a couple days walking in the area and after excellent first impressions, were greeted by Peter & Angela and shown the facilities and thence to our room.
All areas were excellently furnished and laid out with a wonderful, quiet, relaxing ambience.
We loved our evenings by the fire in the luxurious wing back chairs, relaxing with a drink and numerous games of cards and board games, all supplied by our excellent hosts.

"Like a private members' club !"
Was on an overnight break with my son who had a few days off from university. Found this place online and was impressed with its ambience in relation to the local area. The room was comfortable and in 'farmhouse' style. Definitely recommended and hosts very friendly without being intrusive or overbearing. Breakfast good and with vegetarian options. Read less

There is a residents' lounge, complete with an honesty bar, which is reminiscent of a private members club - lots of dark wood and chesterfield sofas. Perfect for properly chilling out!

Parva is a 17th Century former farmhouse idylically set just 50 metres from the banks of the River Wye, next door to the medieval St. Michael’s Church and less than a mile from the historic Tintern Abbey. This small, friendly, guesthouse oozes olde worlde character and comfort in an informal atmosphere where you can relax and put the pressures of your daily routines on hold while you enjoy our hospitality and the surrounding countryside. Enjoy energetic or casual country walks, sightseeing in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, or just relax and watch the river go by in this "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Our eight en-suite bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished to match the character of the farmhouse. The area has an abundance of Medieval Castles of all sizes and strategic importance. Chepstow, Caldicott and Raglan to name just a few. We are just 10 minutes drive from Chepstow Race Course where you can enjoy the sport of kings and a large Sunday market.
