"After Terrifying Trip Driving Car on Left, American Couple Finds Highland Hotel Right Peaceful"
We booked 2 nights in at the hotel, selecting it because of its location in Grantown and its price. It was very reasonable for what we experienced, it was warm, comfortable, it was easy to find and park (I didn't realize how important that was until this trip!) and was the perfect home base for walks in the forest and by the river and for walking through town. This was our first trip to Scotland and if we were to do it over again, we would probably stay here longer. Read less

The owners are just terrific, and gave us lots of helpful suggestions for walks and things to see. The bar was fantastic, we ate both nights' dinners there because the first night was so good.

"A warm and welcoming hotel"
We spent 4 nights at the Seafield Lodge Hotel to attend a friend's funeral and spend time with his family. At such a painful time as this we were uplifted by the warmth of the welcome and the excellent service we received. We were greatly impressed that we were upgraded on arrival to a very comfortable and spacious suite at no extra charge. Read less

Its Victorian character and charm and its convenient location. We were also delighted by the comfort, spaciousness and cleanliness of the suite.
Dislikes:
The only negative was one of the evening dinner options. In this, there was a marked preponderance of batter as opposed to fish.

Seafield Lodge is ideally placed within the Cairngorms National Park, an area of outstanding beauty, boasting a diversity of mountains, lochs, rivers and wildlife in abundance.

Originally home to the first Provost of Grantown-on-Spey, this traditional Victorian hotel dates back to 1879 and retains many original features, over the years it has been extended and modernised to offer the discerning visitor welcoming en suite facilities, television, internal telephone, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. There are also two suites, Salmon and Trout, each having a separate sitting room, bedroom with a King sized bed and bathroom with spa bath.

For those needing to stay in touch WiFi internet access is available to guests.

The Cosy Lodge Bar is the place for an informal meal or perhaps sample one of over 85 single malt whiskys on display. The Seafield Restaurant offers a tempting a la carte menu (April-October) along with an extensive choice of wines to complement your meal. If you prefer, retire to the attractive residents lounge, put your feet up and perhaps read a book or catch up with the news on TV.

Seafield’s small but attractive, enclosed garden is available to hotel guests. On those warm sunny days enjoy a refreshing drink or just sit and take in some beautiful, fresh Highland air.

For those seeking some of the best action packed holidays available including, golf, fishing, walking, cycling, horse riding, birdwatching, white water rafting, rock climbing and many other outdoor activities the Highlands has the answer. If your preference is sightseeing, gentle woodland walks, visiting castles and places of historic interest you will find plenty to keep you amused. Add to all this the famous Whisky Distilleries in the area, perhaps a boat trip to hunt for the Loch Ness Monster and for the children the Landmark Adventure Park, the fenicular railway to the top of the Cairngorm Mountain or a trip on the steam train. Don't just dream it do it.
