We stayed for two nights and thought that the setting of Timbers was lovely. The staff were friendly and welcomed us into the hotel, The room was ok but very tired looking with no hairdryer, I asked but they couldn't find one. The room was warm but the fan and shower made a lot of noise resulting in us being awakened very early by next door (I'm sure that our neighbours weren't aware. The rooms are 'simple' everthing you need in there including soap and towels.
Breakfast is great a help yourself with fried breakfast thru to cereal and toast.
Dislikes:
Beds are quite noisy and rickety.
The bathroom was clean however a little more attention to the mould in the shower/bath!
You can here the next rooms shower.
Needs more milk jiggers in the room

Be aware that a marque is located at the back of the chalets - it is right at the back of some of them! We were not told beforehand that there was an event going on and the noise from this; due to the proximity of the marque was LOUD! The bedroom door had to be closed as the noise from the live band made it near impossible to hear ourselves speak. This was still going on after midnight and once the band had stopped the noise from people leaving was just as bad ! Read less

Timbers has 16 en-suite chalet style rooms with tea & coffee making facilities, ensuite bathrooms with either a bath or shower, TV and radio alarm clock. All our Double rooms have separate lounge areas, some of which have sofa beds in them, ideal for children. Our deluxe room consist of a king size bed, Jacuzzi bath & a high standard of comfort & quality of furnishings. This is also our bridal suite. Twin rooms consist of two single beds with a separate seating area.
Timbers has three restaurant areas, the barn, the old forge & the hayloft. Food is served seven days a week with an 'all day menu' which can be enjoyed either in the old forge restaurant or our comfortable lounge bar. We pride ourselves on using the freshest ingredients possible, using local products where available. We also cater for vegetarians, and will strive to cater for any special dietary needs.
Our Hayloft Function Suite offers a spacious venue for any business conference or event.
Timbers is 60km from the City of Norwich and the same distance North of Cambridge where there is an abundance of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions for guests of all ages.
