This impressive 5-Star, award-winning, fully licensed Edwardian Country House is situated on the edge of the picturesque and bustling market town of Newcastle Emlyn. Close to the borders of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, Maes-y-Derw commands views over the the market town and the Teifi Valley where private fishing is available in this renowned Salmon and Sea Trout river.

Maes-y-Derw provides two spacious double en-suite bedrooms and one twin en-suite bedroom. All are elegantly furnished and immaculately presented offering a balance of contemporary touches, such as plasma televisions and modern en-suite facilities, with a plethora of antiques and Edwardian features - free wireless internet is available in all rooms, including the Coach House Holiday Let annex. Pets can be welcomed by prior arrangement.

The breakfast menu is extensive and includes many home-made items such as jam, marmalade and breads. The Welsh themed cooked breakfast includes Penclawdd lava bread, cockles and Welsh Black Beef sausages, but vegetarians and other diets can also be provided for. A quality dinner menu, a light supper, or sandwiches are available with prior notice.

A self-contained holiday cottage is also available. The Coach House offers a fully fitted kitchen and lounge/diner downstairs and a bathroom, double bedroom and bunked bedroom upstairs. The accommodation is comfortably furnished to a high standard and includes a large leather sofa bed allowing for a maximum occupancy of 4 adults and 2 children. Free wireless internet is available and towels and bedding included. Heating is available via electric wall heaters and electricity is paid for via a coin meter. Bookings normally run from Friday to Friday, but shorter bookings can be arranged over the phone.
